What's a Widget?

You know what a widget is – it’s a button that you add to your personal pages to let your friends try out the cool things you do online. Some widgets let you view maps, look at photos, and watch lame videos. The Jangl widget is like that, only useful. Jangl widgets let people call you on your real phone and you never have to provide your real digits. If you want to screen calls before actually talking, no problem. People calling you are safe too, because they never have to share their number either. No hacks, no dorks, no trollz. Jangl keeps it all copasetic.

Original HTML Button or Crispy Flash Phone?

Jangl provides 2 different types of widgets: the Button (HTML) and the Phone (Flash). You can select and customize your Jangl widget in a variety of ways.

The Phone widget comes in 8 different flavors:

- Brushed Steel
- Gun Barrel Gray
- Racing Blue
- Bubble Gum
- Mint Leaf
- Graphite Tattoo
- Mustard Bling
- Flowered Lavender

The cool new Phone widget allows your readers to get a Jangl number for you without ever leaving your web page. In fact, the new Jangl number is generated almost instantaneously, right in the widget itself. It works on most web sites – see the instructions for more detail.

The Button widget comes in the original "Jangl Me" skin. It is small, discreet and supported by all web browsers. When one of your readers clicks on it, s/he will be taken to jangl.com to enter his or her phone number to get a number to call or text you. Don't worry! This is safe and secure for both you and your groupies.

Where can I use my new Jangl Widget?

Almost anywhere! The Jangl widget can be used anywhere that allows embedded HTML and/or Flash code. This includes blogs, social networking sites, classified ad sites, forums, email signatures, etc. Once you choose the type of Jangl widget you’d like the world to see, we'll give you instructions on how to use your Jangl widget on popular sites such as MySpace, TypePad and Blogger (and we’ll be adding more instructions soon).

If you want to post a Jangl widget but don’t see instructions for your desired location, don’t be deterred! It doesn’t mean the widget won’t work there – it just means we haven’t yet written instructions. Try it yourself, as one of the two widgets will work almost anywhere online.
