How It Works
Call Anyone!
You can call anyone, anywhere, now. You simply enter a valid email address on the Jangl homepage, and we’ll give you a Jangl phone number to leave a message for that person. Leave it to Jangl to get the message delivered by email, and provide a local number for the message recipient to call you back, without sharing your real number. Read that last sentence again – it is really important to understand this. Maybe it is worth restating another way: through a voicemail delivered by email, you and anyone you want to talk with, can be connected very quickly, via local phone numbers, even if your mobile phone isn’t allowed to dial International numbers. And, right now, it’s pretty much free. That’s pretty cool.
Registration
Getting registered for Jangl is pretty darn easy. You simply enter your email and choose a PIN number – that’s all you need to start making calls. We’ll even let you Jangl yourself – no judgments.
New! Jangl Widgets!
After signing up, putting a Jangl widget on your profile or blog is as easy as tying your shoes. Here are the steps:
- Select which type of Jangl widget you want (we have several cool flavors)
- Just tell us where you want to put it
- Our widget page gives you a few lines of code (scribble-scrabble in a box)
- Copy the widget code from the box and paste it into the corresponding widget space at the desired location. The Jangl widgets works almost anywhere on the web. If you run into any problems posting it, let us know and we'll make it right.
Calling a Jangl Number
Calling a Jangl number is just like calling any other number – you use your finger. Except, with Jangl, your digits are safe and you obviously don't see the "real" number of the person you're calling. The first time you call, you'll be asked to leave a short message. Once you’ve registered with Jangl and your first Jangl connection has been accepted, you and the recipient can each choose whether you want subsequent calls to go to voicemail or straight to your phone.
Jangl Voicemail
You’ve got vmail. Really, really good vmail. With Jangl, you can access your vmail through a URL, receive email or sms notifications of voicemails, listen to your vmails at Jangl’s website as well as all the other standard dialing options.
Web Account Management
When you have a Jangl Account, you have total online access to the Jangl calls you receive. Activate or deactivate your widget, turn on and off
incoming calls, change the phone number where you receive calls. Even better, you
can block and un-block individual callers. There’s no need to turn off your phone
or change your number.
Multiple Personal Phone Numbers
Got a "Bat Phone" fellas? Is your "weekend phone" more in sync with your club wardrobe ladies? You’re not limited to one Jangl phone. You can quickly register multiple personal numbers with Jangl so that you are free to Jangl someone from any of your phones.
